European bourses were down last night. Dow closed +108 at 24749. Short
term trend of Dow is starting to turn up. European bourses opened up.
Asian bourses closed mostly higher. Nikkei +225, ShanghaiC +27, Hangseng
+351. STI closed +5 at 3096. Volume was 2.2b shares. Gainers were 208 to
133 losers.
Short term trend of STI is turning up.
Top volumes were Ezion +1.7, RexInt +0.5, AlliedTech unchanged, Spackman
+0.2, ThomsonMed +0.3, Genting +0.5, Jiutian +0.3, KrisEnergy +0.6, SingTel
-4, ThaiBev +1.
STI opened up but turned negative after an hour of trading. It then
recovered to closed for lunch marginally up. After lunch it moved up a
little more and traded at that level for the rest of the session closing at
+5, a little off the day's high.
Blue chips were slightly firmer. The general market was also firmer.
