European bourses and Dow were firmly up last night. Dow closed +354 at
24640. Though long term trend of Dow is still down, short term trend is
looking like firming up. European bourses opened marginally down.
Asian bourses closed rather flat and mixed. Nikkei +140, ShanghaiC -1,
Hangseng -44. STI closed -1 at 3092. Volume was 1.8b shares. Gainers
were 167 to 180 losers.
Trend of STI is climbing up.
Top volumes were Ezion -0.1, ThaiBev -4, RexIntl -0.2, AlliedTech -0.1,
Spackman +0.3, AsianPayTv +0.1, Genting -2, AEM -1.5, Vallianz +0.1,
HPHTrust unchanged.
STI opened marginally down but dipped further after half an hour of
trading. It then pulled back and was positive by late morning and closed
for lunch +7. After lunch it stayed at the same level for an hour before
slipping down. It was negative by mid afternoon, turned positive again only
to closed slightly down at -4.
Blue chips were weaker. The general market was down.
