European bourses and Dow continued a second day of sharp falls. Dow closed
-546 at 25053. Trend of Dow is down. European bourses opened up.
Asian bourses recovered losses and closed mostly up. Nikkei +126,
ShanghaiC +23, Hangseng +535. STI closed +28 at 3076. Volume was 2b
shares. Gainers were 258 to 121 losers.
Trend of STI is seeing a first tick up.
Top volumes were Vallianz unchanged, NicoSteel +0.2, Genting +0.5, RexIntl
+0.6, YZJ +4, DasinRetailTr +0.5, ThomsonMed +0.2, SingTel +6, ThaiBev
+1.5, BlackGold +0.3.
STI opened slightly up and swung up and down in the morning to close
marginally up for lunch. After lunch it moved up through the session to
close near day high at +28. Day high was +41.
Blue chips were mostly green. The general market was firmer with gainer
loser ratio 2:1.
