European bourses and Dow were sharply down last night. Dow -327 at 25707.
Trend of Dow is sideways in the short term trend. European bourses opened
mixed and flat.
Asian bourses closed mixed after a weak opening. Nikkei -135, ShanghaiC
+64, Hangseng +107. STI closed -11 at 3059. Volume was 1.8b shares.
Gainers were 128 to 217 losers.
Trend of STI is sideways for the moment.
Top volumes were YZJ -19, RexIntl -0.6, GSH unchanged, Genting -1.5,
ThomsonMed -0.1, Asiatic -0.1, Vallianz unchanged, ICP -0.1, RichCapital
unchanged, SingTel +3.
STI opened down but moved up over the morning session to close slightly
down for lunch. After lunch it moved up further to reach a day high at
3073, +4 in early afternoon before sliding down to close near day low at
11.
Blue chips closed mixed but the general market was weaker.
