European bourses and Dow were down on Friday. Dow closed -296 at 24688.
Trend of Dow is down. The critical level to watch is 23,500. Breaking this
level would likely lead to a big fall in Dow. European bourses opened up.
Asian bourses closed mixed. Nikkei -35, ShanghaiC -57, Hangseng +75. STI
closed +10 at 2982. Volume was 1.6b shares. Gainers were 149 to 183
losers.
Trend of STI is down.
Top volumes were PineCap unchanged, NicoSteel unchanged, Genting +1, YZJ
+6, ThomsonMed -0.1, Asiatic +0.2, Ezion unchanged, GoldenAgri -0.5,
ThaiBev unchanged.
STI opened up and stayed up for the whole session. It reached a day high in
the first hour of trading at 3005. Subsequently it drifted down a little
and stayed at between +10 to +15 for most part of the session. It closed
near day low at +10.
Blue chips were mixed and the general market was slightly weaker.
