European bourses closed mixed last night while Dow plunged 608 points
closing at 24583. Trend of Dow is down, coming off a double top on the long
term chart. European bourses opened down.
Asian bourses closed mostly down. Nikkei -853, ShanghaiC +1, Hangseng
-255. STI closed -19 at 3013. Volume was 1.9b shares. Gainers were 126 to
237 losers.
Trend of STI is down.
Top volumes were RexIntl +1.3, Genting -2, Ezion unchanged, ThaiBev -0.5,
YZJ -2, AlliedTech -0.1, Metech unchanged, ThomsonMed +0.2, KrisEnergy
+0.3, RichCapital -0.1.
STI opened down but moved up to close for lunch -13 points. After lunch it
fell only to recover to closed at day high at -19 points.
Blue chips and the general market were down.
