European bourses and Dow closed down last night. Dow was down about 400
points before rebouncing to close -66 at 26438. Trend of Dow is looking
down but not precarious. European bourses opened mixed.
Asian bourses closed mostly up. Nikkei -357, ShanghaiC +20, Hangseng +160.
STI closed +25 at 3316. Volume was 1b shares. Gainers were 264 to 126
losers.
Trend of STI is down.
Top volumes were GInvacom +2.3, Genting unchanged, YZJ +1, SuntecReit +3,
MapletreeLogTr +1, RexIntl +0.2, AscendasReit -9, SingTel +6, AsianPayTV
+0.6, GoldenAgri unchanged.
STI opened up and reached morning high of 3311 by mid morning only to
retreat back to close for lunch at 3298. After lunch it resumed its
recovery and reached day high by mid afternoon at 3323. It then pulled back
a little and closed near day high at 3316.
Blue chips were mostly green and the general market was firmer.
