European bourses and Dow were slightly up last night. Dow closed +2 at
25967. Trend of Dow is down. European bourses opened down.
Asian bourses were sharply down today. Nikkei -200, ShanghaiC -43,
Hangseng -692. STI closed -15 at 3269. Volume was 1.3b shares. Gainers
were 132 to 262 losers.
Trend of STI is down.
Top volumes were BestWorld -26, SingTel +3, SinoGrandness -0.2, Genting
unchanged, AsianPayTV unchanged, MapletreeLogTr -3, AllianceMineral +0.2,
YZJ unchanged, Capitaland -13, Chasen -0.4.
STI opened down but turned up and was at day high at -5 before turning down
again. It closed for lunch at -14. After lunch it moved up slightly but
turned down again at mid afternoon to reach a day low of -30. It then
pulled back slightly to close off the day low at -15.
Blue chips were mostly down. The general market was down.
