European bourses fell last night. Dow fell a walloping 800 points to close
at 25479. Trend of Dow is down. European bourses opened mixed.
Asian bourses closed mixed. Nikkei -249, ShanghaiC +7, Hangseng +193. STI
closed -34 at 3114. Volume was 850m shares. Gainers were 103 to 248
losers.
Trend of STI is down.
Top volumes were YZJ -18, ThaiBev +7.5, SingTel +7, MapletreeNAC +3,
Genting -1, Adventus +0.1, RexIntl unchanged, OCBC -40, Wilmar -8,
CapitaMallTr +5.
STI opened at day low at 3095, -52. It then recovered and was at morning
high at 3121 by mid morning, though still negative. It then fell back to
close for lunch at 3102. After lunch it tried to move back up, took a small
dip in mid afternoon before continuing to climb and closed at day high at
3123, at -24.
Blue chips were mostly in the red. The general market was down.
