European bourses were up last night. Dow fell by 600 points at its worse
before recovering to close -22. Trend of Dow is down. European bourses
opened up.
Asian bourses closed mostly up. Nikkei +77, ShanghaiC +26, Hangseng +124.
STI closed -16 at 3168. Volume was 657m shares. Gainers were 155 to 186
losers.
Trend of STI is down.
Top volumes were YZJ -26(halted), LionGold +0.1, Genting -1, SingTel -3,
Jiutian unchanged, KepInfraTr unchanged, AEM +3, CapitaComTr +1, FrasersL&I
+1, Sincap -0.1.
STI opened down 22 points but was level after an hour of trading at 3184.
It then fell back to negative and close near morning low at 3172 for lunch.
After lunch it stayed at this level for the first half of the afternoon
before falling to close lower at 3168 due to the long weekend. Day low was
3159.
Blue chips were mixed. The general market was slightly weaker.
