European bourses were down but Dow had a technical rebound last night. Dow
closed +312 at 26030. Trend of Dow is still down. European bourses opened
firmly up.
Asian bourses closed mixed and flat. Nikkei -69, ShanghaiC -9, Hangseng
+17. STI closed +16 at 3187. Volume was 710m shares. Gainers were 194 to
170 losers.
Trend of STI is down.
Top volumes were YZJ -7, LionGold unchanged, Winas +0.4, Libra +0.7,
SingTel -2, Ginvacom +0.7, Genting +1, IEV +0.2, Singapore-eDev -1, ThaiBev
+1.5.
STI opened marginally up, moved up a bit more and retreated and was
negative after an hour of trading. It moved back up just before lunch to
close +5 at 3175. After lunch it moved up slightly and closed at day high
at 3187.
Blue chips were firmer. The general market saw a bit more gainers than
losers.
