Daily Summary 1 Aug 19

European bourses closed mixed last night but Dow fell 334 points closing at

26864.  Trend of Dow is down.  European bourses opened mixed.

Asian bourses closed mostly down.  Nikkei +19, ShanghaiC -24, Hangseng

-203.  STI closed -9 at 3292.  Volume was 600m shares.  Gainers were 119 to

209 losers.

Trend of STI is down.

Top volumes were SingTel +3, KohEco +0.4, CapitaMallTr -6, Genting

unchanged, AscottReit +1, SemcorpMarine +2, AscendasReit -2, SuntecReit -1,

MapletreeComTr -6, CapitaLand -7.

STI opened down but moved up and was positive after half an hour of

trading. It hit day high by 10am at 3311.  It then pulled back and closed

for lunch at 3298, -2. After lunch STI fell further and only moved back up

slightly in the last two hours to close at 3292.

Blue chips were slightly weaker. The general market was down.

European bourses are mixed at this moment while Dow's future is slightly

up.
