European bourses closed mixed last night but Dow was -281 closing at 26853.
Trend of Dow is down. European bourses fell sharply on opening.
Asian bourses took a big hit from Trump's latest tariff on Chinese goods.
Nikkei -473, ShanghaiC -41, Hangseng -647. STI -31 at 3261. Volume was
766m shares. Gainers were 105 to 265 losers.
Trend of STI is down.
Top volumes were MDR -0.1, Genting -2, HPHTrust -1.5, CapitaComTr +3,
SingTel -1, MapletreeNACTr -1, CapitaMallTr +4, ThaiBev -1.5, Accrelist
unchanged, FrasersL&ITr +4.
STI opened down but recovered some ground and was at day high at 3279, -12
by 10am. It then fell back to close for lunch at 3268. After lunch it
tried to stay at this level but slipped further after mid morning to close
near day low at 3261. Day low was 3258.
Blue chips were mostly red. The general market was down.
