European bourses and Dow were sharply down yesterday. Dow was -454 at 28536. First big break down from the uptrend. European bourses opened up.
Asian bourses were mostly down. Nikkei -128, ShanghaiC and Hangseng closed. STI -60 at 3180. Volume was 2.4b shares. Gainers were 114 to 434 losers.
Trend of STI is breaking down.
Top volumes were Medttecs +6.8, HealthwayMed +0.7, Genting -3.5, AsiaMedic +0.2, CWXGlobal unchanged, RexIntl -1.3, AusGroup -0.5, Spackman -0.1, YZJ -5, SingTel -3.
STI opened -68 points and fell further to a low at 3144, -96. It then recovered to close for lunch at 3157. After lunch it continued to recover and hit a day high at 3190, -50, before closing at 3180.
Blue chips were mostly in the red. The general market was down and the ratio of gainers losers is 1 to 4.
European bourses and Dow's future are up at this moment.
