European bourses either closed or were down on New Year Eve. Dow was +76 at 28538. Trend of Dow is up. European bourses opened up.
Asian bourses were mostly up. Nikkei was closed. ShanghaiC +35 while Hangseng rallied +354. STI closed +29 at 3252. Volume was 1.8b shares. Gainers were 355 to 158 losers.
Trend of STI is up.
Top volumes were MarcoPoloMarine +0.3, GSSEnergy +1.4, GoldenAgri +1, Trendlines +2.6, Ausgroup +0.4, Mermaid +0.6, Singapore-eDev +0.3, Spackman +0.2, RexIntl -0.5, NamCheong +0.1.
STI opened up but fell to negative within half an hour only to resume its climb to positive territory. It closed for lunch at 3235. After lunch it continued to climb higher and was at day high at 3254 before closing at 3252
Blue chips were mostly green. The general market was up.
European bourses and Dow's future are up at this moment.
